Building Strong Foundations for Lifelong Success

At SARA (Southern Association for Reading Advancement), we believe that every child deserves a strong start. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our first Nonprofit Early Learning Center, designed to support families and help children reach their full potential from the very beginning.

Why Early Learning Matters

Early childhood is a crucial time for brain development, language growth, and learning habits that carry into later school years. Unfortunately, many children enter kindergarten already behind, especially in key areas like reading and language. Our goal is simple: make sure no student is left behind due to a lack of early academic support.

By providing high-quality early learning opportunities, we’re stepping in before the gaps widen—offering families a dependable, educational environment where their children can thrive.

A Thoughtful Start: Phased Launch Plan

We’re taking a measured, community-focused approach as we open our doors:

  • Phase One launches with our Mothers Day Out program—held four days a week for three hours a day—giving children a safe, nurturing place to grow and learn in their early years.
  • Families enrolled in this initial phase will receive priority placement once we receive full licensure from the State of Tennessee and expand our offerings.

This rollout ensures we maintain high standards while growing with purpose and care.

A Curriculum Built for Real Learning

SARA Early Learning Center blends trusted educational tools with our own local expertise to create a strong, well-rounded foundation for each child.

📘 Brightwheel’s Experience Curriculum

We use the Experience Curriculum by Brightwheel, known nationwide for its hands-on, age-appropriate learning model. This program is designed to promote early reading, math, and problem-solving skills through engaging, theme-based activities.

🏫 Our Custom Curriculum

We’ve also developed our own academic curriculum tailored to the children and families in our community. With a strong emphasis on early literacy, vocabulary building, and classroom readiness, our approach ensures each child is prepared to succeed when they enter kindergarten and beyond.

✋ Sign Language Learning

Students will begin learning basic American Sign Language (ASL) as part of our regular programming. This enhances communication skills, supports early language development, and offers another tool to strengthen overall learning.

🎵 Music Education Partnerships

We partner with local music teachers and musicians to bring engaging, high-quality music instruction to our students. Music helps improve memory, concentration, and language development—and it adds joy and rhythm to the learning experience.

Anchored in Community, Driven by Excellence

At SARA, we are committed to educational advancement—not just for the individual child, but for the future of our community. Our Early Learning Center is a reflection of that mission: reliable, academically strong, and built with families in mind.

We are here to ensure that every child has the chance to succeed, no matter where they start.
