Here’s a fully updated and polished rewrite of your website page that reflects SARA’s full state licensing approval during the week of November 3, 2025, following your August pilot program launch — with clear, professional, and parent-friendly language consistent with your faith-based, nonprofit tone:
At the Southern Association for Reading Advancement (SARA), we believe every child deserves a strong start.
That’s why we are proud to announce that the SARA Early Learning Center—a faith-inspired, literacy-focused preschool program—achieved full state licensing the week of November 3, 2025, following a successful pilot program launched in August.
This milestone marks the official transition from pilot phase to fully licensed operation, allowing us to expand services and welcome more children into our high-quality early learning environment.
Located at 1033 S. College St, Winchester, TN 37398, the SARA Early Learning Center serves families across Franklin County and surrounding areas with accessible, developmentally-rich early education rooted in care, community, and Christian values.
The early years are a child’s most formative time for brain development, language growth, and learning readiness. Yet many children in Tennessee begin kindergarten already behind—especially in reading and communication skills.
At SARA, we believe early intervention can change that story.
Our mission is simple: to ensure every child enters kindergarten confident, prepared, and excited to learn through early literacy-driven education and nurturing relationships.
SARA began with a pilot program in August 2025, enrolling a small group of five children to refine our curriculum, assess classroom structure, and ensure safety and quality standards met and exceeded state expectations.
After months of collaboration with the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) and local partners, we are proud to share that SARA reached full licensing status during the week of November 3, 2025.
This step allows us to grow toward our licensed capacity of 34 children while maintaining the same excellence, personal attention, and faith-based values that defined our start.
Families who participated in the pilot program received priority enrollment during this transition—a reflection of our commitment to community trust and gradual, high-quality growth.
Our approach integrates academically focused instruction with hands-on exploration, literacy development, and social-emotional growth.
📘 Brightwheel’s Experience Curriculum
We use the nationally recognized Experience Curriculum by Brightwheel—an evidence-based, play-driven program that builds early reading, math, and problem-solving skills through engaging monthly themes.
🏫 Custom Literacy-First Framework
Our in-house literacy framework aligns with the Tennessee Early Learning Development Standards (TN-ELDS), emphasizing phonics, vocabulary, and reading readiness tailored to the needs of rural learners.
✋ Sign Language Integration
Children learn foundational American Sign Language (ASL) to strengthen early communication, reinforce literacy connections, and promote inclusivity.
🎵 Music Education Partnerships
Through partnerships with local musicians and teachers, our music curriculum fosters rhythm, memory, and creativity—building confidence and joy in every learner.
SARA is more than a school—it’s a movement for educational equity in rural Tennessee.
As a 501(c)(3) public charity, we exist to make quality early learning accessible for every child, regardless of income or background.
Our foundation rests on:
Faith-supportive values that nurture character and compassion.
Academic excellence driven by evidence-based early literacy strategies.
Community partnership with families, churches, and local organizations.
We believe that by supporting children early, we strengthen entire communities for generations to come.
We invite families, educators, and community supporters to join us in this mission.
Whether through enrollment, volunteering, or donating, your involvement helps us give children the strong foundation they deserve.
