Summer literacy • 2025 & 2026
Our summer literacy program has wrapped up for 2026. Thank you to the children, families, educators and library partners who brought these reading adventures to life. SARA will offer summer literacy again in 2027. Dates, locations, age groups and registration details will be announced when confirmed.
Campers explored letter fossils, followed a dinosaur story walk, made character puppets and searched for sight words in dinosaur eggs. They created their own dinosaur vocabulary books, connecting new words with stories, art and play.
What children practiced: letter recognition, sight words, vocabulary and storytelling.
At Franklin County Library, children made cereal letters, played fishing games and explored a word of the day. Coffee County Manchester Public Library also hosted a session, helping bring SARA’s playful literacy activities into the community.
